Special Education Administrator - Baird School

The Special Education Administrator provides guidance and leadership in instruction and curriculum planning and evaluation, including active involvement with faculty, staff, and students. Additionally, this position is primarily responsible for the facilitating the collaboration between internal team members and external LEA partners for purposes of IEP determination, evaluation, and planning for school discharge

Responsibilities:

  • Primary Baird School contact and collaborator with Public School Partners
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary educational team meetings, IEP team meetings, or other educational team meetings.
  • Plan, supervise and evaluate all aspects of the specialized instructional services.
  • Responsible for the supervision, evaluation, and professional development of special education and related services staff or contracts.
  • Provide guidance and training to special education teachers in IEP development, review, and revision.
  • Oversee and ensure appropriate licensing and regulation implementation for special education services at Baird School
  • Work with the special education teachers to develop schedules that utilize staff and building resources to the maximum degree of effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
  • Master's degree in Special Education or a related field with advanced knowledge of and experience with the client population served and applicable models for education and treatment
  • VT Special Education License
  • Interest in pursuing Vermont Professional Administrator Endorsement

Structure:

  • Full time (37.5 hours)
  • Exempt
  • Salary starting at $70,267
