Medical Assistant

Facilitate client care delivery by supporting nurses, medical providers, and the clinical team in both clinical and administrative capacities.

Responsibilities:

  • Triage and manage patient questions
  • Prepare patients for office and/or telehealth visits
  • Obtain vital signs & verify medication lists
  • Communicate medical/health information between patients and medical providers
  • Manage lab results
  • Supports use of office, electronic health record, and other technology by program staff
  • Maintains departmental records

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of accredited Medical Assistant training program or combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired
  • One year of Medical Assistant experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Driver's license and use of a personal vehicle

Structure:

  • Full time (37.5 hrs), Scheduled hours between 6am-2pm
  • AFSCME Union
  • Starting at $22.30
  • We offer a competitive salary commensurate to experience
