Director of Nursing - Chittenden Clinic

Join the leadership team at the Chittenden Clinic, Vermont's largest and first hub. Provide on-site supervision, patient care and nursing leadership.

The Chittenden Clinic is one of the largest medication treatment programs for opioid use disorder in the country, serving approximately 1000 patients. Our program and its staff have been recognized regionally and nationally for outstanding performance, high-quality healthcare services, and a patient-centered approach. We use evidence-based interventions and strive to reduce the adverse consequences of substance use, through a harm reduction approach, to support the health and wellbeing of all patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train and supervise nurses
  • Develop, implement and update nursing policies, procedures and training based on best practice 
  • Lead orientation, ongoing education and competency assessments for nursing staff
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and CARF regulations
  • Oversee medication management, including inventory, ordering, storage, and DEA compliance
  • Work in dispensary as a dosing nurse
  • Oversee medication management, including inventory, ordering, storage, and DEA compliance
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and improve health outcomes

Requirements:

  • Unencumbered Registered Nurse license, Vermont license eligible
  • Graduated from an RN program
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three years of experience in nursing
  • One year of experience in nursing administration or experience in medication for opioid use disorders, substance use and/or mental health

Structure:

  • Full Time
  • Exempt
  • Starting at $88,469
  • We offer a competitive salary commensurate to experience
