SUB - Acute Residential Counselor Youth - Jarrett House:

Provide service in a residential home serving children ages 5-13, who are experiencing an acute mental health emergency.

Join the Crisis Stabilization team at the Jarrett House. The Jarrett House is a staff-secure residential home in Burlington, Vermont for youth.

Sub - Acute Residential Counselors cover planned and unplanned time off.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop healthy, therapeutic relationships with residents
  • Coordinate/implement behavior plans
  • Assess/adjust the milieu to ensure proper supervision and crisis management
  • Communication and documentation of treatment progress
  • Provide a healthy living environment, modeling healthy interaction
  • Respond safely to crisis

Requirements:

  • A combination of skills, experience and/or education
  • High School Degree

Structure:

  • Substitute position
  • Open shifts (day, evening, weekends, awake overnights) due to vacancies
  • Starting at $22.30 an hour
  • We offer a competitive salary commensurate to experience
