Interventionist - School Based - Baird School 

Join a team of providers who make a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable children. Your role in providing instructional and behavioral treatment for children with emotional, behavioral, and developmental disabilities is invaluable. You will receive extensive training and supervision.

The Baird School offers a unique educational environment, providing an alternative for children ages 5-14 (grades K-8) whose needs cannot be met in a regular education setting. Students engage in academic, social, emotional, and behavioral programming to develop skills and strategies that will enable them to succeed in the least restrictive educational environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and/or group support to assigned children in accordance with individual treatment goals
• Teach social and adaptive behavior/emotional skills and living skills
• Establish positive, therapeutic relationship with children, and counseling as needed
• Collaborate with educational, Human Service professionals, and caregivers
• Use Therapeutic Crisis Intervention to maintain a safe environment and to de-escalate a crisis
• Have effective oral/written skills, and the ability to perform autonomously

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year combination of experience, skills and/or education; Bachelor’s preferred
• Valid driver's license

• Starting ranges from $21.85 - $23.68
