Interventionist - Autism - Floating

***INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY***Provide substitute coverage or additional coverage for staff during absences and provide back-up pager coverage.  Respond flexibly to program needs and coordinate scheduling when needed. 

The Autism Spectrum Program (ASP) provides support services to individuals ages 2-21 with an autism spectrum disorder. Services are provided in home, school, and community settings and target teaching essential skills including social communication, adaptive behavior, daily living and functional learning skills. The ASP also provides consultation and training services regarding autism and evidence based interventions.

Provide 1:1 support to children in home, school, and community based settings.  Receive comprehensive training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) as well as excellent supervision.  To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor's Degree and a reliable vehicle with an acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond flexibly to program coverage needs
  • Carry pager during work hours
  • Provide pager back up and coordination of scheduling in Program Assistant's absence
  • Provide 1:1 support to children with autism in home, school, and community based settings
  • Using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, effectively implement treatment techniques
  • Implement indentified behavior management techniques
  • Collect/record daily data effectively
  • Safely transport clients
  • Clinical documentation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least one year of professional or internship experience instructing and/or supporting children or youth.
  • Use of a personal vehicle and a clean driving record
  • Ability to establish positive, therapeutic relationships with children while safely managing behavior
  • Solid oral/written communication skills

Structure:

  • Full time, 37.5 hours/week
  • This is a union position
  • This is a non-exempt position
  • This position is paid hourly, at $19.21/hour
