Senior Interventionist- Autism Spectrum Program:

$3,000 SIGN ON BONUS - Provide intensive, specialized instructional and behavioral treatment to children with autism spectrum disorder. Services are delivered in school and community settings and target the teaching/shaping of essential communication, social, adaptive, daily living and functional learning skills. This is a leadership position that provides guidance to new and less experienced staff as well as assisting in training interventionists in formal program trainings and on the job.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and/or group support according to the individual treatment goals
  • Utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis or other best practices, effectively implement treatment techniques, adjusting interventions based on the situation
  • Record data to produce graphic visual analysis for progress monitoring.
  • Provide ongoing guided practice, modeling, prompting and reinforcement of pro-social skills
  • Primary back-up for Interventionists (where applicable)
  • Establish positive, therapeutic relationships and provide supportive counseling as needed
  • Independently use approved de-escalation training (such as Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), Ukeru or LSCI) to maintain a safe environment and safely manage behavior
  • Complete clinical documentation/data reporting in a timely and accurate manner
  • Establish productive working relationships with team members/families/co-workers and maintain professional boundaries
  • Provides training and shadowing experiences for new staff
  • Assists with on-boarding requirements directed by the supervisor

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and use of a personal vehicle
  • 2 years of a combination of skills, experience and/or education supporting youth and/or with an emphasis on youth special needs population

  • Salary starting at $43,882.51
  • Exempt
