Career Coach- Developmental Services

Career Coaches support clients who are eligible for developmental services and transitioning into employment in their final year of school high school. This position supports clients/interns in multiple internship opportunities within a host business site that allows them to gain experience and valuable work skills. A successful candidate is able to develop and maintain internship opportunities, support students throughout the program, and market the program and job seekers to potential employers/businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Student recruitment via school presentations, open houses, assessments, student interviews, etc
  • Develop, maintain and evaluate internships as well as relationships
  • Provide information and insight during team meetings such as IEP meetings, developmental services meetings and family meetings

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years' experience in human services or combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills has been acquired
  • Driving is required as well as an acceptable driving record

Structure:

  • 37.5 hours per week: Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
  • Starting pay rate is $16.66 per hour
  • This is a non-exempt position
  • This is a union position
