Administrative Assistant - Baird School and INCLUSION

Administrative Assistants work within and across programs to ensure effective and efficient service delivery. Day to day operations and processes are executed skillfully and with a focus on team collaboration and service. Administrative assistants play the role of ambassador for Howard Center in the community.

This position will support the Baird School and INCLUSION Program and in doing so must have the ability to assess competing priorities and switch tasks seamlessly throughout the day. This position will collaborate and converse with a wide variety of people when completing assigned tasks.  Attention for detail and follow through will be crucial to the success of this position.

This position also includes supporting the building administrative team in technology assistance and front desk coverage. Flexibility for one shift per week until 6 p.m. required.

Successful candidates will have proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and Google Drive, as well as the ability to manage assigned projects independently and excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Experience working within ALMA is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high level of administrative support to the Baird School and INCLUSION Program
  • Support Educational leadership staff
  • Assist with recruitment and on-boarding
  • Data collection and reporting
  • Support program intakes
  • Front Desk Support

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and personal transportation
  • High School Diploma
  • Previous administrative experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • 3 years administrative experience or business college training preferred, human services experience helpful

Structure:

  • Full-time position (37.5 hours/week)
  • This is a non-exempt position
