Team Lead - Medical Assistant

Assist in coordinating Medical Assistant service delivery within an opioid treatment program by supporting medical providers, nurses and the clinical team in clinical and administrative capacities. This role provides direct intervention with and support to clients, and role modeling high quality care for staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist and monitor in Medical Assistant team operations including coordinating staff schedules, care coordination, consultation
  • Provide administrative and clinical supervision to Medical Assistants
  • Recruit staff (regular positions and substitutes), support with hiring and create on-the-job training
  • Provide direct crisis support and teach and model effective crisis management to staff
  • Prepare patients for office and/or telehealth visits
  • Obtain vital signs & verify medication lists
  • Communicate medical/health information between patients and medical providers
  • Manage lab results
  • Maintains departmental records

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of relevant work experience
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred

Structure:

  • Full time (37.5 hrs), Scheduled hours between 6am-2pm
  • Non-Union
  • Starting at $28
