Join the Park Street Program as a Substitute Residential Counselor.

The Park Street Program is a residential treatment program in Rutland, VT specializing in therapy for adolescent males who have engaged in sexually harmful behaviors. Programming is family centered and trauma informed.

Sub - Residential Counselors cover open shifts (day, evening, weekends, awake overnights) due to vacancies and planned/unplanned time off. Substitute Residential Counselors maintain a healthy living environment by providing supervision, modeling healthy interactions, and responding safely to crisis.  Consider this position if you hold or are working towards a Bachelor's Degree, and have use of a personal vehicle with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop healthy, therapeutic relationships with residents
  • Coordinate/implement behavior plans
  • Assess/adjust the milieu to ensure proper supervision and crisis management
  • Communication and Documentaton of treatment progress

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or working towards a BA degree
  • 1 year of experience working with children
  • Use of a personal vehicle with a clean driving record

Structure:

  • This is an hourly position, at $18.15/hour
