SUB - Specialized Service Provider

Provide support services for congenitally deaf-blind adults with significant mental health issues. Work in clients' homes and in the community providing visual and auditory information needed for clients to interact with others.

This is a substitute position so hours and schedule will vary.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate constructive activities that facilitate engagement in the community
  • Communicate using American Sign Language and other visual and auditory cues as appropriate
  • Utilize sound judgement and maintain a calm demeanor during crisis
  • Provide needed behavioral and/or mental health support

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience working with adults who are deaf-blind
  • Fluency in American Sign Language
  • Valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle

  • This is a substitute position
  • This is a non-exempt
  • This is a non-benefits eligible position
  • $21.14/hour
