Respite Provider:

Offer support, structure and therapeutic activities to children and families with complex mental health presentations.

Providers receive comprehensive training in community mental health and high quality supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a professional relationship with a child/family
  • Help maintain stability to enhance mental health by giving the child and family a much needed break
  • Initiate community-based activities that are age-appropriate, constructive and safe
  • Provide a high-level of supervision, establish firm boundaries and set limits on behavior

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children
  • Use of a personal vehicle with a clean driving record

Structure:

  • Part time (maximum 15 hours per week)
  • Union
  • Non-exempt
  • Starting at $20.12 an hour
