Registered Nurse:

Employees in this position may be eligible for up to $3,000 in grant-funded tuition or loan assistance

Part Time = Provide nursing oversight and support at the Lakeview Care Home, a licensed, level 3 residential care home serving sixteen adults with chronic mental illness.  Day-shift schedule spread over 3-4 days. (No holidays/wknds req)

Full Time = Provide nursing oversight for individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring medical and/or mental health conditions living in community settings and licensed residential homes.  Day-shift schedule M through F. (No holidays/wknds req)

Nurses are a key part of the interdisciplinary team for each Howard Center residential program - which includes a case manager, residential manager, and residential employees. 

Responsibilities:

  • Completes nursing assessments, contributes to interdisciplinary care planning, and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes
  • Reconciles medications, obtains orders, and oversees medical documentation to ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures as well as state regulations
  • Provides medication and health care education to clinicians and staff
  • Delegates medication administration to staff
  • Contributes to the development of protocols, procedures, client education, and training
  • Participates in peer review, quality assurance, and other committees as related to promoting client's health and wellbeing.
  • May provide some direct care, including injections and foot care, however the nurse is not the primary caregiver in any program

Requirements:

  • Associates degree
  • State of Vermont License: Registered Nurse
  • One year of nursing experience
  • Capable in the use of applicable computer software including electronic medical records and basic Microsoft products

Structure:

  • Part time (25 hours), flexible day shift schedule, three -four days per week
  • Full time (37.5 hours), flexible day shift schedule, Monday through Friday
  • We offer a competitive salary commensurate to experience
  • This position offers the opportunity for additional compensation through On-Call coverage

  • Annual salary starting at $63,437.79 (full time)
