Project Hire Assistant Coordinator

The Project Hire Assistant Coordinator's role is to provide supervision and program development support and quality assurance. Project Hire supports clients with Cognitive Impairments and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder to seek and maintain competitively paid employment. This position is responsible for ensuring that quality employment support services are provided to our clients through training staff in best practices using tools and /or strategies to promote client's full inclusion in the workforce and oversight of documentation requirements. 

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, supervise and promote professional development of 7-8 staff (Employment Advisors who carry caseloads of clients and/or Job Coaches who support clients on the job)
  • Provide staff with expertise in best practices in supported employment to support clients to reach their goals
  • Ensure client and program related documentation is accurate, timely and meets agency standards
  • Use independent decision making and strong judgement skills during crisis situations
  • Communicate, problem solve  and network with a wide variety of people including: clients, families, support teams, community partners and potential/existing employers
  • Use independent decision making and strong judgement skills during crisis situations.

Requirements:

  • 6 years' combination of skills, experience and/or education in human services
  • 2 years' experience in supporting individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • 2 years' supervisory experience or program oversight experience 
  • Valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle

Structure:

  • This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week
  • This is an exempt position
