Operations Director - Chittenden Clinic

Oversee the daily operations of Howard Center's opioid treatment program, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery and compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Responsibilities include operational and administrative functions, policy and procedure development, and contingency systems planning. Successful candidates have a firm understanding of the clinical work and Vermont substance use and mental health system of care to effectively support the needs of clients, staff, and programs in our system of care.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead program operational functions, including hiring, scheduling, contract or compliance, outcomes, budget, policy, or program initiatives.
  • Lead the preparation, submission, and maintenance of accreditation and certification requirements, including CARF, NCQA, DSU, and DEA.
  • Provide oversight of quality assurance programs to monitor and improve program performance while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including those related to controlled substances.
  • Program and team development
  • Provide program and clinical supervision
  • Provide community-based trainings and maintains partnership liaison relations
  • Attend agency and community forums and committees
  • Participate in appropriate state and agency leadership teams.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher, in a mental health discipline
  • Vermont clinical licensure in good standing preferred
  • Driver's license and use of a personal vehicle
  • Two years combination of mental health and/or substance use direct experience
  • Two years supervisory and management experience
  • A strong understanding of Vermont's substance use and mental health system of care and determining appropriate level of care

Structure:

  • Full-time 
  • Exempt
  • Starting at $77,295
  • We offer a competitive salary commensurate to experience
