On-Call Sub Military and Veteran Specialist

INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY - Provide education and support to Howard Center staff on issues impacting veteran clients and community members. This position is pivotal in building Howard Center's ability to service veterans with culture competence.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend military service members committee meetings monthly
  • Receive ongoing training in military cultural competency and best practices
  • Acts as a subject matter expert on providing care to service members

Requirements:

  • Current Howard Center employee
  • Personal experience in the military or as the family member of someone in the military is helpful but not required

Structure:

  • Hours vary weekly
  • $28 an hour
