Living Skills Specialist for Developmental Services- $500 Sign on Bonus

**$500 Sign on Bonus for full time (40 hour positions) and $250 Sign on Bonus for part time (20 hour positions)**

Offer specialized clinical support and therapeutic opportunities in the community to multiple clients each week who possess a range of developmental disabilities and significantly challenging behavioral or psychiatric issues. Develop a clear assessment of the individual's strengths and basic needs, such as social functioning, to inform treatment interventions included in the support agreement.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a therapeutic environment and promote the physical, medical and mental health of clients
  • Intervene in crisis situations to stabilize an individual by utilizing a high level of clinical judgment and effective communication with client's team
  • Complete daily activity logs, electronic health record documentation, administrative tasks incident/seizure reports, medical/medication logs in a clear and timely manner

Requirements:

  • High School degree (or equivalent) required
  • At least three years of experience in human services, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skill has been acquired
  • Use of a personal vehicle for client transportation and an acceptable driving record

Structure:

  • Full time (40 hours/week) and part time (20 hours/week)
  • Each position varies in schedule (day and time of day)
  • Travel as required for client needs, appointments and for pick-up/drop-off
  • This is a union position
  • This is a non-exempt position
  • This position is paid hourly, at $15.42/hour
