Interventionists provide a broad spectrum of community-based services designed to educate and guide skill development for caregivers and children to re-mediate the effects of trauma, overcome skill deficits and promote healthy normative development.  Enhanced Family Treatment offers a high level of  individualized, trauma-informed and family-friendly mental health care. Interventionists on the Enhanced Family Treatment team receive comprehensive training in community mental health.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate constructive activities that address goals on a child's treatment plan
  • Develop and implement therapeutic interventions to ensure safe interactions
  • Participate in a 24-hour pager rotation

Requirements:

  • Experience in a human service or care-taking field, with emphasis on children with special needs
  • Valid driver's License and use of a personal vehicle
  • The ability to work afternoon, evenings, and some weekends

Structure:

  • Full time, 37.5 hours/week
  • Travel within Chittenden County
  • This position offers a non-traditional schedule
  • This is a union position
  • This is a non-exempt position
  • This position is paid hourly, at $15.81/hour
