CSP - Housing Coordinator

Assist clients participating in our Community Support Program (CSP) in looking for and securing safe and affordable housing. Serve Chittenden County adults 18 and older with severe and/or persistent mental health challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Dispense and track housing support funds responsibly and equitably
  • Build and maintain relationships with area landlords
  • Track market housing listings and applications sent to landlords/housing authorities
  • Contact or assist clients in contacting landlords/property managers to apply for housing
  • Take clients to apartment/housing viewings
  • Maintain HMIS database for homeless clients
  • Counsel and provide education to clients on the process of applying for housing
  • Assist clients with securing items such as valid ID, income verification, etc.
  • Participate in Community Housing Review Committee to access resources such as subsidies or units
  • Assist with acquiring furnishings for housing and arranging movers

Requirements:

  • A combination of one year of experience in Human Services or in housing related work and education will be considered
  • A valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle

Structure:

  • Full time (37.5 hours)
  • Exempt
  • Union position
  • Starting at $44,353.26
