Development and Community Engagement Manager

Join the Development and Communications Team to increase philanthropic support and awareness of Howard Center. This position develops and executes strategies that support the department's increased focus on individual giving and donor engagement. Also, this position supports the development of the department's annual plan, tracks and analyzes data and outcomes for all strategic projects, evaluates return on investment (ROI), and develops reporting functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies to lead and manage the agency's annual fund, campaigns, and appeals
  • Provide strategic and operational management of the department's donor engagement platform and database
  • Cultivate, engage, and steward donors, sponsors, and community members to increase philanthropic support and agency awareness and engagement
  • Develop procedures and policies that guide donor stewardship and accounting management in alignment with best practices
  • Provide strategic, operational, and stewardship support for fundraising and educational events and forums

Requirements:

  • Three years of non-profit donor cultivation and stewardship, fundraising, and event management experience, including demonstrated project management skills
  • Demonstrated experience with strategically increasing philanthropic support and awareness of mission
  • Experience and expertise with current technology, including social media platforms, donor engagement platforms, including Bloomerang, on-line giving, on-line event set up and registration, and Microsoft Office 365
  • Valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle

Structure:

  • Full time position
  • Exempt position
  • Annual salary starting at $63,880.00
  • We offer a competitive salary commensurate to experience
