Clinician - Crisis Stabilization - Jarrett House: 

Employees in this position may be eligible for up to $3,000 in grant-funded tuition or loan assistance.

Jarrett House is a crisis stabilization program serving children ages 5-13 who are experiencing mental health, emotional, or behavioral crisis. Jarrett House is a staff-secure residential program in Burlington that provides 24/7 therapeutic intervention, assessment, and psychoeducation in a milieu-based setting. Jarrett House provides trauma informed care while partnering closely with families and treatment providers in discharge planning to facilitate ongoing services in the community. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Intake and assessment of children with acute mental health needs
  • Individual and group treatment
  • Intensive care coordination
  • Treatment and discharge planning
  • Facilitation of family and treatment team meetings.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in a relevant discipline
  • Vermont Clinical Licensure, or listed on the Roster of Non-Licensed & Noncertified Psychotherapists (see licensing requirement below)
  • 3 years of clinical experience working with children and families
  • 1 year of experience in a hospital/residential-level of care
  • Use of a personal vehicle and a clean driving record

Licensing Requirement Notice:

Vermont regulation mandates that if you do not hold a valid license then you must be on the Roster of Nonlicensed & Noncertified Psychotherapists before you can be hired for work in this position. If you are not yet on the Roster, please begin the process immediately to avoid delay in hiring. Note this process may take 3-5 days for in-state applications and up to several weeks for out-of-state applications. Instructions can be found on the website for the Vermont Office of Professional Regulation.

  • Annual starting salary at $52,002.46 (Non-Licensed), $54,285.18(Licensed)
