Intake Clinician - Access & Intake Program

Join the dynamic Access and Intake team as our newest Intake Clinician! You will have the opportunity to hone your clinical assessment and diagnostic skills while supporting diverse clients to connect with appropriate services.

This position provides initial psychosocial assessments and treatment recommendations to children and adults seeking Howard Center services. Supervision toward clinical license and professional development training is available.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete mental health and substance use assessments for diverse clients across the lifespan
  • Provide treatment and service recommendations
  • Develop expertise regarding services within Howard Center and the community
  • Prepare high quality clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with Access and Intake Team, including cultural liaisons, and other Howard Center programs

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or other related mental health field
  • Clinical License or on the Roster of Non-licensed Non-certified Psychotherapists
  • 1-2 years of experience working in the human services field
  • Experience with assessment, diagnosis and crisis intervention/de-escalation
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record with use of a personal vehicle

Effective January 1, 2016, Vermont regulation mandates that individuals who are on the Roster of Nonlicensed Noncertified Psychotherapists, through the Office of Professional Regulation, must be actively working towards professional licensure and be fully licensed within 5 years of Roster date of issue. This rule does not apply to First Call for Chittenden County.

Structure:

  • Full time (37.5 hours/week)
  • Union eligible position
  • Exempt position
  • Annual salary starting at $54,342.57 (non-licensed) or $56,728.01 (licensed)
