Employment Assistant - Career Connections

Provide pre and post-employment technology training and administrative support for staff and clients served by Career Connections. This intent is to provide more comprehensive technology training prior to a client beginning a job or attending college.

Career Connections offers adults in the Community Support Program career counseling, job development, post-employment support, benefit counseling, self-employment opportunities, supported education for individuals returning to or beginning college, and a variety of job training programs.

Candidates with a lived experience with mental health challenges and a strong belief in recovery are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic computer training to clients for job searches and completing applications
  • Assist clients in establishing a healthy work day routine
  • Transport clients to various destinations in the community

Requirements:

  • A combination of skills, experience and/or training 
  • Valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle
  • Computer proficiency

Structure:

  • This is a part-time position (15 hours/week)
  • This is a non-exempt position
  • This positions pays $15.81/hr
